Browsing Library

The newest collection housed in the Schwob Library is the Browsing Library. The Browsing Library is dedicated to providing light, recreational reading for library patrons.

Books housed in the Browsing Library are gift books, generally paperbacks, that do not meet the criteria for inclusion in the Library's main collections but might be of interest for recreational readers.

The rules of the Browsing Library are simple: take what you want to read, bring it back when you are done. That's it! You do not need an ID, you do not need to check these materials out at the Circulation Desk, and there is no due date. Borrowing from this collection is on the honor system. Books should be returned to the return bin near the Browsing Library shelves.

Donations for the collection are gladly accepted. Space is limited, so donations may not be put on the shelf immediately. Anonymous donations can be placed in the Browsing Library return bin.

The Browsing Library is located near the ETC area of the main floor of the Schwob Library. From the main entrance (near Woodall) go past the glass-walled computer lab and turn left. The Browsing Library Shelves are against the left wall.
